I realized a couple of days before the trip that I hadn’t left the country since I had gotten pregnant with our first child. The thought of leaving my children to go to an unknown territory, more about
uncertain that it was the Lord’s will for me, Sildenafil
was plenty of margin for the enemy to get a foothold in my mind. I battled him for months and finally, the day before we were leaving, got breakthrough. Talk about pulling me “out of the muddy clay!” (Psalm 40:2) Less than 24 hours before leaving, I was finally able to get excited about our trip to the Holy Land. I realized that it was more important to trust God and thank Him for every detail of my life instead of trying to scrutinize the details. He is Lord, He is God and He can be trusted! “The man who trusts in the LORD, whose confidence indeed is the LORD, is blessed.” – Jeremiah 17:7

Once I boarded the plane in NYC for our flight to Israel, I realized that the Lord had taken me on a long journey just to get to the starting point of our pilgrimage. A wise friend told me that sometimes the Lord is more concerned about our hearts wholeheartedly seeking Him than He is about the end result. Through that tough journey, the Lord taught me so much about accepting gifts, sacrifice, prayer, wise counsel, submission, fasting, trust, listening, prophecy and timey words. I started the trip feeling like one who had been called “out of darkness into His marvelous light.” (1 Peter 2:9) And what marvelous light did He have in store! Israel was nothing like I though it would be… and more than I could have ever asked for or imagined. With the goal of sharing pieces of encounters with God in the Holy Land, I am going to attempt to post weekly about some outstanding revelations from the trip.
