Train a Child…

With two little munchkins to cart around and a third on the way (not to mention all of the gear that comes with them!), decease we have found ourselves in the market for something that I never thought I would be… a mini-van. I always thought that I would be one of those moms with a cool SUV or suburban, definitely NOT a mini-van. However, as we are soon to have three under three, I can’t imagine anything better than doors that open with the touch of a button.

So, a couple of nights ago, we decided to go for a drive to check out a mini-van that we found on Craig’s List. It was past our typical dinnertime and neither of the girls were exercising much patience – Addison actually claimed that “her bellyache was coming out” because she was so hungry. So, in a valiant effort to get them to stop whining, Jason and I started to clap and create a little wrap for our verse of the week. It went a little something like this…

Needless to say, the girls temporarily forgot about their growling tummies, laughed at their silly parents and joined in the fun. Neither of us has a lick of rhythm and we certainly can’t sing, but this just proves that, regardless of your musical capabilities, anyone can have fun teaching their children scripture. Do you have any creative ways that you are helping your kiddos to learn the Word? Please share.
